-
Will's Jumper
Swiss darns over small holes where the base of the jumper joined the main knit.
-
Rosie's Sock
A small hole in the toe, repaired with an internal darn so you get little flecks of yellow coming through.
-
Lydia's Coat
A few mends on this gorgeous pink coat, repairing the armpits where the fabric had worn down with various shades of pink in areas, and then a green and pink woven pattern.
-
Erika's Trousers
Some reinforcement on the knees of these climbing trousers where they were getting scuffed from rubbing against rocks. A pink sashiko thread was used to contrast nicely with the teal trouser material, and match the existing thread colour.
-
Brendan's Jeans
A patch over a ripped knee on these jeans, reinforced with red stitching over the top.
-
Lydia's Backpack
Using a parachute ranger’s stitch, the bottom of this backpack was repaired and reinforced with a range of colours that complimented the yellow of the bag.
-
Tom's Jumper
Some colourful recycled aran wool was used to swiss darn some elbow holes on this beautiful Aran Jumper.
-
Sophie's Jeans
A darned area on the bottom of these Levi’s with reinforcement around so hopefully they won’t tear again any time soon!
-
Rob's Jumper
A hole-y green number that needed some TLC. Using some autumnal greens, oranges and pinks these holes were darned and the cuffs were given a little turn-up as they were wearing thin.
-
Ella's Trousers
A classic darn over some worn down cotton trousers with beautiful shades of green, using Laine St. Pierre threads.
-
Charlotte's Dress
Damaged after a misjudged slut drop, the tear in the back of this light denim dress was repaired and embellished with some contrasting yellow-golden embroidery thread.
-
Rob's socks
Some big heel holes on these beautiful woollen socks from New Zealand need some serious TLC! I used a chunky wool to darn the heels and some darn navy wool to reinforce the toes.
-
Catherine's Jumper
A little hole in the front of this dark grey jumper was accentuated with a light blue darn.
-
Gabrielle's Dungarees
These Lucy and Yak dungas got caught on a door handle (for a second time!). The original repair was unpicked and the whole area was reinforced with a panel of fabric that was sewn with a two-tone geometric pattern.
-
Ann's Cardigan
Some Swiss darning to fill in a couple of elbow holes, using a complimentary yellow to highlight the existing embellishments,
-
Brendan's other Jeans
Another knee hole repair, this time with yellow sashiko style crosses to patch these dark blue jeans.
-
Julian's Shirt
This old cloth kit shirt needed some TLC, with a a patch on a large rip on the shirt sleeve, reinforcement around the collar and some general reinforcements all round.
